Thomas Cook Group plc is a leading international leisure travel group with a portfolio of market leading travel brands across Europe and North America. The group has recently embarked on an ambitious project to centralise all e-commerce channels from five of its major European markets into a new London based business unit and develop these into a cutting edge Online Travel Agency.
ROLE:
To be responsible for the implementation and optimisation of email/CRM programmes across all aspects of the email (CRM) communication strategy, including acquisition, activation, retention, reactivation and tactical campaigns
a) Day-to-day management of the email schedule, ensuring all mailings are delivered correctly, promptly and to schedule to deliver maximum revenues
b) Work with Marketing Analyst to maintain and communicate reports on email/CRM activity, including key KPIs (open rates, click through rates, conversions, unsubscribes, etc).
c) Track performance of email activity and take ownership to raise and identify any anomalies, highlighting issues or making recommendations for improvement where appropriate
d) Manage the email production process from end-to-end – from brief through design, HTML production and campaign deployment to reporting.
e) Produce, adapt and improve email templates to support the email optimisation plan. Working closely with the CRM Manager on the email test and optimisation plan, analyse the results of tests undertaken and make recommendations to improve email performance further
f) Ensure best practice email design, HTML build and usability. Utilise the ESP tools to ensure maximum deliverability and optimal renderability. Raise support requests and liaise with ESPs as and when required
g) Keep abreast of industry best practice, new techniques and competitor activity in relation to email
ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
a) Excellent communication skills
b) Commercially astute
c) Fluent French (written verbal)
d) Strong project management – ability to manage and deliver several campaigns at the same time
e) Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
f) Attention to detail with excellent spelling, grammar and punctuation
g) Good technical knowledge of email marketing techniques
h) Use of web development application to code emails (HTML email production)
i) Use of graphics editing programme to create/adapt designs and images for emails
j) Experience of setting up and deploying emails in an ESP
DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
a) Experience in customer retention and CRM
b) Proficient user of Adobe Dreamweaver
c) Proficient user of Adobe Photoshop
d) Proficient user of eDialog`s Precision Central
