Jon R. Wallace
ST. JOSEPH – Jon R. Wallace has been named president of MPI Companies, a strategy and organization development company involved in market research, product development, branding and strategic planning expertise.
“Jon’s entrepreneurial character, business development experience and analytical skills are an excellent fit in our continued growth,” Chairman Steven Reed said in a press release.
He described Wallace as someone able to focus on the needs of company clients, provide the level of service and results the company has demonstrated over nearly 30 years, and continue its expansion outside the Midwest.
Founded by Reed and Stephen Sizer in 1983, Marketing Partners Inc. is headquartered in St. Joseph and Orlando, Fla. Its many clients include Whirlpool, Best Buy, Stryker, Panasonic, General Motors, Michigan Works and Western Michigan University.
According to information provided by the company, it has most recently been involved in organizational change and large non-profit fund development work in Washington, D.C., and Florida.
Wallace has a master’s degree in organizational leadership from Siena Heights University and is an adjunct faculty member at Lake Michigan College. He was previously vice president and co-owner of Carter-Wallace in St. Joseph and also previously worked in promotions, production, sales and was an on-air personality for WLAV, WJFM (B-93), WCUZ and other Grand Rapids radio stations before relocating to the St. Joseph area in 1994.
Wallace’s community involvements include service on several executive boards, including the United Way of Southwest Michigan, Lakeshore Rotary, Cornerstone Chamber Services, Cornerstone Alliance, the Blossomtime Festival and Brookview Montessori School.
